Now Open for Bookings

After 3 years of planning, design and crafting, our bespoke Woodsman’s Hut and Coppice Cabin are now open for bookings. We look forward to sharing our woodland stay experience with our first guests from April 2020.

Both the Woodsman’s Hut and Coppice Cabin are ‘luxury in nature’ – they are handbuilt in wood to our own high spec eco-design and located in an elevated setting at the woodland edge. There are woodland views from each hut, even from the bed, and the outside seating areas provide spectacular long-range views south over the adjacent field meadow and the River Severn to the Cotswolds.

With our private woodland adjoining the statutory Forest of Dean, there are miles of trails to explore from the doorstep, including the Gloucestershire Way and connecting trails to the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s a true hidden gem for lovers of the outdoors.

For wildlife enthusiasts there are resident owls, woodpeckers and deer and badgers are occasionally seen. The area is also well known for bats and butterflies and our long term rotational coppicing activity has increased biodiversity which is also encouraged by installation of bat and bird boxes.

We are open year round – each season offers something new in the woods – and with kingsize bed, hobbit stove and underfloor heating a warm and cosy welcome is always assured.
