Future Plans
With the addition of our Woodland Cabins and Round Wood Barn on the edge of our coppice woodland, we have the infrastructure to begin providing courses at our site.
We have wanted to do this for a long time but haven’t had the infrastructure to host people. With that in mind, we are currently considering a variety of experiential events that provide some core skills in woodsmanship, country crafts, wild foods and traditional outdoor cooking supported by what we do at The Resilient Woodlands Initiative.
Our current list of possible courses consists of:
2-day charcoal making course
BBQ & Wildfire cooking
Woodland foraging & cooking for the perfect accompaniments
Introduction to Green Woodworking
Roundwood timber framing (making your own BBQ shack or garden shelter)
1-day course using the smoking woods we have to demonstrate the amazing flavour combinations that can be created
Greenwood Furniture making – create the perfect garden seat
Hazel Hurdle making – to shield your outdoor cook area
Split and round wood fencing
Keep up to date with the latest information for future experience days either on this page or our Facebook page.
